SyncSwitch is geared with all the features that are in demand for retail and wholesale grade VoIP Carrier/Operators. It includes-
Highly available and scalable SyncSwitch is designed as a highly scalable soft switch with Linux Virtual Server (LVS) cluster and Heartbeat package – world’s famous technology for load balancing and failover for assuring High Availability, Failover and Load Balancing requirements found in carrier-class environments. High-Availability ensures the availability of the service 99.999%. Failover ensures that if any call fails from any switch node after sending to that, it will be redistributed towards other server nodes and get connected. Load Balancing ensures proper distribution of traffic among all server nodes to ensure high performance and premium quality of service. Fault Tolerance that if any server node misses its heart beat or goes down for any reason, it will not impact on the whole system, it will be removed from node pool. Whenever it comes back, it will be added to the pool automatically. With clustered network, SyncSwitch can be designed for any number of concurrency.^Top Advance Switching Technology SyncSwitch provides both of circuit based switching and packet based switching technology, and it coexists on a same system. There won’t be need any separate system. Sync switch also supports next generation network (NGN) packet switching, IPv4 and IPv6. ^Top Multiple type of interface SyncSwitch do support both TDM and IP interface for incoming and outgoing call with wide range of protocol support and can act as a bridge or converter from IP to TDM and vice versa. ^Top Complete Solution for IP Telephony The framework for voice services on the SyncSwitch is based on International Telecommunication Union (ITU) standards, and it allows an ecosystem of partners to work together to develop innovative network services. Service providers are not locked into a single VoIP signaling technology when they choose the SyncSwitch. Because H.323, SIP, and IAX2 protocol support are built in with the SyncSwitch which allows service providers to enable the call control protocol, which is the best fit for their networks today and gives confidence that they can respond to evolving market requirements whenever necessary. ^Top Support of various signaling protocols and conversion among them Service providers around the world are deploying various types of TDM interfaces with SS7, E & M, E & M E1 Wink, FXO & FXS (Loop Start, Ground Start, Kewl Start), SF Signaling, Feature Group D, ISDN PRI etc. protocols. By bridging VoIP and TDM, carriers realize immediate benefits of improved scaling, reduced network costs, and faster time to market. ^Top Call admission control CAC allows the platform to gracefully refuse calls based on local call-processing resources, such as CPU load, memory usage, bandwidth availability, or measured congestion on the IP network. Such call control dramatically improves the reliability Sync switch. ^Top Wide range of supported voice codec SyncSwitch offers multiple codec support to meet interoperability, compression, and latency requirements for various phone-to-phone and PC-to-phone applications: G.711 (alaw & ulaw), ADPCM, SLIN, LPC10, SPEEX, ILBC, G.722 G.723.1 (5.3K and 6.3K), G.726, G.726aa12, G.729ab, GSM, H.261, H.263, H263p, and H.264. The same number of calls is supported across all codec types to simplify network engineering. Enabling voice activity detection (VAD) reduces packet traffic through the network. With VAD enabled, the Sync Switch detects silence and stops transmitting packets when callers stop speaking. Variable frame sizing provides further control over voice packet. ^Top Fax Support Fax transmission over an IP infrastructure is an important and growing service opportunity, especially in international markets where fax represents a large percentage of network traffic. The SyncSwitch supports the standards-based T.38 Real-Time Fax Relay, allowing greater interoperability between networks and allow service providers to offer a single E.164 number for subscriber voice and fax services. ^Top Provide echo cancellation ^Top Call Detail record The SyncSwitch has its own programmable database cluster which will keep all incoming and outgoing call record with detail information. By default it comes with following options:
^Top Data reliability and security SyncSwitch uses MySQL as database with clustering facility which provides fault tolerant database clustering architecture and can deliver mission-critical database applications with 99.999% availability. SyncSwitch stores same data in multiple database nodes which gives 100% reliability and security of data. ^Top Exclusive routing and termination plan SyncSwitch exclusive routing plan gives customer complete control over the incoming and outgoing calls with following features-
^Top SyncSwitch gives customer wide range of variety to originate a call.
^Top Advance rate plan SyncSwitch provides advanced rating plan for customer for offering various packages.
^Top Multilayer billing SyncSwitch come up with 3 level of Customer classification and manipulation i.e. Service provider (Level 0), Reseller (Level 1), Company / Agent (Level 2), and End user like Gateway providers, Wholesale Customers, Calling Card Users, PIN Users etc. This facility of classification and access control of customers can enable and give the opportunity to the service provider to diversify and plan his business in multiple and extensive way and increase profitability. ![]() ^Top Integrated real time billing and accounting facility Real time billing and accounting facility is a basic demand of service providers. SyncSwitch provides this facility exclusively and provide service providers with real time profit calculation for each and every level of customer. Integrated full featured and real time billing provides with accurate and reliable billing data which provides the acceptability to the various level of customers. SyncSwitch billing comes up with following options:
