Highly available and scalable


SyncSwitch is designed as a highly scalable soft switch with Linux Virtual Server (LVS) cluster and Heartbeat package – world’s famous technology for load balancing and failover for assuring High Availability, Failover and Load Balancing requirements found in carrier-class environments. High-Availability ensures the availability of the service 99.999%. Failover ensures that if any call fails from any switch node after sending to that, it will be redistributed towards other server nodes and get connected. Load Balancing ensures proper distribution of traffic among all server nodes to ensure high performance and premium quality of service. Fault Tolerance that if any server node misses its heart beat or goes down for any reason, it will not impact on the whole system, it will be removed from node pool. Whenever it comes back, it will be added to the pool automatically. With clustered network, SyncSwitch can be designed for any number of concurrency.

Complete Solution for IP Telephony

Wide range of supported voice codec

SyncSwitch offers multiple codec support to meet interoperability, compression, and latency requirements for various phone-to-phone and PC-to-phone applications: G.711 (alaw & ulaw), ADPCM, SLIN, LPC10, SPEEX, ILBC, G.722 G.723.1 (5.3K and 6.3K), G.726, G.726aa12, G.729ab, GSM, H.261, H.263, H263p, and H.264. The same number of calls is supported across all codec types to simplify network engineering. Enabling voice activity detection (VAD) reduces packet traffic through the network. With VAD enabled, the Sync Switch detects silence and stops transmitting packets when callers stop speaking. Variable frame sizing provides further control over voice packet.

Support

Fax transmission over an IP infrastructure is an important and growing service opportunity, especially in international markets where fax represents a large percentage of network traffic. The SyncSwitch supports the standards-based T.38 Real-Time Fax Relay, allowing greater interoperability between networks and allow service providers to offer a single E.164 number for subscriber voice and fax services.

The SyncSwitch has its own programmable database cluster which will keep all incoming and outgoing call record with detail information. By default it comes with following options:


  • # CDR Log report can be generated by combination of any variable like Account, Gateway, Destination, Reseller, Company, Caller ID, Dial Status, Q.931 Code, Dialed Number and Source IP etc.
  • # CDR Log shows unique id of call, Start time, Answer time, End time, Call duration, Account, Caller IP, Caller ID, Destination, Gateway, Q.931 Code and Post Dialing Delay.
  • # CDR Summery shows Total calls, good calls, drop calls, maximum duration, total duration, Answer-Seizure Ratio (ASR), Average Call Duration (ACD) and Post Dialing Delay (PDD).
  • # CDR Summery searching is possible by Day, Hour, Account, Destination, Gateway, Company, and Reseller and disconnect cause with multiple selection at a time.

SyncSwitch uses MySQL as database with clustering facility which provides fault tolerant database clustering architecture and can deliver mission-critical database applications with 99.999% availability.
